Our mushroom growing kits are perfect for any beginner to mushroom cultivation! These kits come ready-to-fruit, so you can begin the foray into mushroom growing as soon as they arrive in the mail. You begin the kit by cutting holes in the plastic covering on each side and spraying or misting the exposed substrate. This is the case for most of the kits except the shiitake mushroom kit, which you will place in the fridge overnight and then remove the plastic before beginning to mist. Spray the kits 2-3 times each day to ensure the proper amount of humidity for fruiting. Within two weeks you should be able to harvest your first flush of fresh mushrooms! You can then let the block rest and begin the process all over again for another flush.
Each kit weighs in at 10 pounds of colonized substrate and is certified organic. For those concerned with shipping costs, know that we only charge shipping for 6.5 pounds of products, so you are ultimately receiving a discount shipping rate.
