Fungi Ally is excited to bring the plant and fungi communities together in one workshop! We will talk about symbiotic relationships and systems between these two kingdoms which the gardener and landscaper can encourage. We will explore different ways to cohabit fungi and plants in a space, from a large apple tree with morels to brussel sprouts with elm oyster.
We will discuss how to work with fungi to prepare new planting areas, to recycle debris and fertilize perennial gardens, and improve plant health. We will focus on particular species pairings and will implement these relationships at Hackerfarm01007.
Plant and Fungi pairings we will implement
-Blueberries and Nameko
-Brassicas and elm oyster (Hypsizgus ulmarius)
-Sunflowers/corn and wine cap (Stropharia rugosoannulata)
